Routine Appointments

Please telephone the surgery between 8.00am–6.30pm, Monday to Friday.  If you do need to be seen on the same day, please telephone as early as possible after 8am.

To honour our commitment to all patients our routine appointments last 10 minutes. 

 

Urgent Appointments

If you feel your condition needs to be dealt with the same day, please telephone as early as possible after 8am for a morning appointment. This is a five minute appointment and will be fitted in with the first available doctor and you may have to wait to be seen.

 

Telephone Advice

We are happy to offer advice by telephone. If you would like some advice, please let the receptionist know, and she will arrange a time for you to talk.

 

Home Visits

Home visits are intended for people unable to attend the surgery for medical reasons. Please telephone before 10.30am if a visit is requested that day and give as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority.

 

Emergencies

If the problem is an emergency needing a doctor straight away, please make this completely clear to the receptionist. In some circumstances (collapse, unconsciousness, central chest pain) you may wish to telephone the ambulance at the same time.

 

Private Medical Checks

The following items are not covered by the NHS, and are charged at the recommended BMA rates:

  • BUPA/PPP forms (enquire at reception)
  • Driving Medicals, Taxi, HGV, PSV
  • Solicitors Letters
  • Unfit to travel certificate
  • Private sick note for the first seven days
  • Passport signatures
  • Private or Pre-employment medical (enquire at reception)
